Fairhaven's Christmas Market is Saturday 21 November, 11am to 8pm, free. Wroxham Barns has about 60 stalls on 1 November and a Christmas makers market on 5-6 December.

Three Christmas markets around the Broads already have 2026 dates, and all three are free to get into. The first is on Sunday 1 November and the last on Sunday 6 December.

Broadland has no big town-centre Christmas market of the kind Norwich runs. What it has are makers’ markets at garden and farm venues, and stalls at the Aylsham switch-on, which has not been dated yet.

Wroxham Barns, Hoveton

Wroxham Barns runs its makers’ markets with The Best of Norfolk, a group that promotes independent local businesses. Both Christmas-season markets are free to enter and free to park, and dogs on leads are welcome.

Winter Makers Market, Sunday 1 November. Around 60 stalls, indoors and out, with live music from 11.30am to 1.30pm. The stall line-up is “to be announced” (Winter Makers Market).

Christmas Maker’s Market, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December, 10am to 3pm. A two-day market of local makers alongside the resident studios, with live music from 11.30am to 1.30pm (Christmas Maker’s Market).

The same weekend is the first of Wroxham Barns’ Christmas Experience Santa days, so expect the car park to be busy. Details are on our Santa’s grottos page.

Aylsham switch-on

Aylsham’s Christmas lights switch-on brings stalls into the Town Hall, the Market Place and Red Lion Street. The 2025 event ran from 5pm to 9pm on Friday 28 November. The town council has not announced a 2026 date. Our Aylsham switch-on page has the detail.

Still to be confirmed

  • Times for the Wroxham Barns Winter Makers Market on 1 November.
  • Stallholder line-ups for both Wroxham Barns markets.
  • The Aylsham switch-on date.
